Austin

Last weekend I took the kids down to Austin to visit my parents at their lake house, on Lake Travis.  The weather was amazing and we all had a blast.
I think that the kids are really going to like having the lake house in years to come, as they are able to enjoy more and more about being up there.  I grew up living and spending summers there and have such wonderful memories of it all!
Four generations of Doolittle women!

Thatcher was all about the boat!  It didn't even have to be in the water!

Thatcher and "G-Dad" (what Thatcher has named him) checking out the deer.

Our scary little, pink skeleton.

Big brother skeleton lovin'!
Aren't my kiddos so stinkin' cute!

The Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to the pumpkin patch with Thatcher's little play group and although it was a bit wet and muggy we had a great time! My mother-in-law met us there to help me with Juliet and the kids played and ran and played.  I couldn't even get Thatcher to take a break when it rained for a bit.  Oh the joys of having a non-stop little boy!  They loved it!

Me and my kidos in the pumpkins!

And we're off...  starting in the house of pumpkins.  "Which one do I want???"

Anybody in there???

Thatcher and his friend Camryn peeking through the pumpkin window.

Scary, I know!
I turned around for a minute and there he was, sitting high on the tractor!
He thought that he was big stuff!

One last look before we go!

TWO MONTHS OLD!

Wow does time fly!  I am in total shock that me baby girl is already two months old, and a bit sad because she looks almost 4 or 5!  Somehow we skipped the "infant" stage entirely and moved right on the outgrowing our 0-3 month clothes!
She had her two month check up yesterday and she already weighs 16 lbs and is 25 inches long!!!  YIKERS!  She is literally as big as Thatcher was at 4 months.  I pulled out his stats to compare and he was 15.8 lbs and 25 inches long!  Thatcher better look out!

Here are a few recent pictures of out little linebacker!

Smile!

My pretty, cheecky, baby girl!

Chub's first sunglasses!

Sweet dreams...

Chillin' in the shade at a birthday party.

My Big Boy, the Big Brother!

Lately Thatcher has taken to the "baby" toys/lounge items!  He even turns on the vibration when he is watching "Dora and Boots" in the bouncy chair and attempts to swing himself in the swing, while yelling WHEEEEEEE!

Very attractively lounging in the bouncy chair, with Juliet's paci, I might add!

"Look at me 'Mama' (his new title for me, I guess we have graduated from Mommy)."  He was so stinkin' proud of himself, for not only getting in the swing, but being able to close the tray down over him too!  I'm one proud "Mama"!

This is at his little friend Emma's birthday party.  You think that he looks ready for some of that cake?  We  had to fend him off and remind him that it was Emma's day and that he would have his birthday cake soon!

Okay this is really cute.  I lost sight of Thatcher one day while I was doing the dishes, which is scary b/c he has a tendency to want to pick Juliet up, (which would ultimately mean that she would end up on the floor) but this time he climbed up on the couch to hold her hand and just continued to watch his morning cartoons!  It was so cute!!!  He has stared doing this anytime she is where he can reach her.  He will even just stand by her to hold her hand if she is up higher than he is.  I love it!

Another example of wanting to be by his baby sister!

The Zoo!

Last week our play group went to the Fort Worth Zoo. We were a long caravan of strollers, there were 6 moms, and 3 of us had double strollers!  Juliet slept and sweat, poor thing, through most of the afternoon, but Thatcher and the rest of the older kids really enjoyed it.  We all had a great time!  It just really made me feel old, taking my "TWO" children to the zoo with their play group!  Wow how time flies, I can remember going to the zoo with my mom and my little friends.

The Crew:  Sarabeth & Anabelle, Mason & Samual, Emma, Camryn (minus little sister Kelsey), and Thatcher & Juliet!  (Abby and her mommy were a little late and missed this picture)
Thatcher & Camryn checking out the deer.
One day he will be taller than the ladies!
Mommy (& Juliet) really liked checking out the fake pig, in the AC!
Keeping a close eye on Baby JAC, on her first zoo adventure!
The fun is over and I am tired and hungry!
We are all headin' towards the exit and Thatch decides that he is caput!  He just sits down in the middle of the walkway and opens up what is left of his lunch!
It was really cute.

1 Month!

I cannot believe that Juliet is already a month old.  Time flys!  We are all doing pretty good here.  Juliet is continuing to grow at a record pace.  We go to the doctor tomorrow and I am very interested to see how much she weighs now.  And Thatcher just started back to school (aka mother's day out).  Yea for me!  It was really nice to be back down to one, very manageable, child again; even if it is just for a bit a couple times a week.

Pretty in a tutu!
Brotherly lovin'
Relaxing and apparently contemplating...
Thatcher is a proud big brother!

New Pics of our little girl

Here are a few new pictures of our little miss over the last few weeks.  The first couple are from a sip-n-see that my mother-in-law threw for Reif's cousins to come and meet her, and the rest are just fun ones of her.  I cannot believe that she is almost a month old!

The guest of honor at her party!

Awake and alert!
